Tsuga canadensis ‘Vermeulen's Wintergold’

Discovered by Nancy Vermeulen at Vermeulen & Son Nursery in Neshanic Station, New Jersey, this Canadian Hemlock turns bright yellow in winter, remains yellow through spring reverting to a light green in spring/summer in the northeast. In Portland, Oregon, however, Porterhowse Nursery's specimens maintain their yellow color year round.
