Taxus baccata 'Silver Spire' is a narrow, upright selection of English yew with tight, fastigiate branching and green needles, each bearing bold silver-white margins. Its color is bolder in winter. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 7 feet (2.2 m) tall and 16 inches (40 cm) wide, an annual growth rate of 8 to 10 inches (20 - 25 cm).
This cultivar originated as a seedling selected in the late 1980s by Treseder Nursery, Lockengate, Saint Austell, United Kingdom.
