Sequoiadendron giganteum ‘Greenpeace’

Sequoiadendron giganteum 'Greenpeace' is a pyramidal, tree form of giant sequoia that grows at roughly half the rate of the species and has grass-green foliage that tends not to bronze in winter. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 15 feet (4.5 m) tall and 10 feet (3 m) wide, an annual growth rate of 18 inches (45 cm) or more.

This cultivar originated as a seedling selected in the early 1990s in The Netherlands.
