Podocarpus lawrencei 'Red Tip' / Red Tip mountain plum pine

Podocarpus lawrencei 'Red Tip' is dwarf, flattened globose selection of mountain plum pine with blue-green foliage that flushes bright red at the terminals that last well into the winter. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 20 inches (50 cm) tall and 28 inches (70 cm) wide, an annual growth rate of 2 to 3 inches (5 - 7.5 cm).

This cultivar likely originated as a seedling selected in Tasmania, Australia. Specific origin details are unfortunately unknown.
