Pinus sylvestris var. nevadensis

When young has a conical shape, becoming a flat-topped, spreading tree with age, can be very attractive when mature because its distintive redish bark. Spanish seedlings (var. nevadensis, var. valsain) withstand summer heat and drought much better than northerner seedlings.

Basically this is a Spanish strain of Scots Pine.
