Pinus sylvestris 'Mitsch Weeping'

This contorted, weeping cultivar of Scots Pine was found as a seedling by John Mitsch in 1965. This tree responds beautifully to pruning and shaping, resulting over time into a living sculpture -- a fine centerpiece to any conifer garden.

A fine specimen living in the Oregon Garden Conifer Collection in Silverton Oregon. Photo taken in 2011.
