Pinus strobus 'Hershey' / Hershey Eastern White pine

Pinus strobus 'Hershey' is a slow-growing, flattened-globose selection of Eastern White pine with dense, bright, Blue-green foliage and a propensity to create large numbers of seed cones, even at a young age. Growing at a rate of 2 to 3 inches (5 - 7.5 cm) per year, a specimen will reach maturity at a height of 2 feet (60 cm) tall and 3 feet (100 cm) wide after 10 years.

This cultivar originated as a witch's broom found in 1979 on the Hershey Estate, Pennsylvania, USA. The broom's finder and the individual who introduced it to the nursery trade is unknown at this time.
