Pinus ponderosa 'Pondy' / Pondy Ponderosa Pine

[RHS Encyclopedia of Conifers, Auders & Spicer] A globose dwarf Ponderosa Pine with light Blue-green needles that are smaller than those of the species. Originated before 2002 through Jerry Morris and is part of the Jerry Morris Collection of Rocky Mountain Conifers.

Pondy grows up to 6 inches a year and will form a nicely formed 5-foot ball after ten years of growth. Best use is in the smaller garden in full sun. This tree will tolerate rocky, dry soil beautifully.
