Pinus nigra ‘Arnold Sentinel’

A dense, columnar tree with strong upright branching and dark green needles. It was selected by propagators at Harvard's Arnold Arboretum in 1984 from seed collected in Turkey in 1970. [RHS Encyclopedia of Conifers]

(Jacobson) Tightly upright; the original clone in 1987 was 16' tall and 4 feet wide. A cultivar of P. nigra var. pallasiana.
