Pinus mugo ‘Schweizer Tourist’

Pinus mugo 'Schweizer Tourist' is a flattened globose, bushy selection of mugo pine with uniform branching, white foliar buds, and yellowish green foliage that brightens to stunning gold when exposed to colder temperatures in winter. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 20 inches (50 cm) tall and 32 inches (80 cm) wide, an annual growth rate of 2 to 3 inches (5 - 7.5 cm).

Despite being an attractive and readily available plant in the international nursery trade, 'Schweizer Tourist' is unfortunately of unknown origin; but, in all likelihood, it originated is central Europe.
