Pinus heldreichii ‘Satellit’

Pinus heldreichii 'Satellit' is a narrowly conical selection of Bosnian pine with fastigiate branching and dense, dark-green foliage. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 6 feet (2 m) tall and half as wide, an annual growth rate of 6 to 8 inches (15 - 20 cm).

This cultivar originated as a unique seedling selected from a group planting in Von Gimborn Arboretum, Doorn, The Netherlands, and introduced to the nursery trade around 1970 by L. Konijn & Co., Reeuwijk, The Netherlands.
