Pinus densiflora x nigra ‘Pierrick Bregeon’

Pinus densiflora x nigra

Pinus densiflora × nigra 'Pierrick Bregéon' is a densely branched, flattened globose selection of hybrid pine with fine, dark-green needles. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 18 inches (45 cm) tall and 24 inches (60 cm) broad, an annual growth rate of around 2 inches (5 cm).

This cultivar originated as a seedling selected in the early 1990s by Henri Bregéon of Renens, Switzerland. Inexplicably, Jeddoloh Farms of Gresham, Oregon registered the trademark name of Brepo® for this cultivar in 2003. On occasion, this trade designation appears as an attempted cultivar name which it can never be.
