Picea pungens ‘Filip's Blue Compact’

Picea pungens 'Filip's Blue Compact' is a dwarf, upright conical, slow growing, exceptionally dense selection of Colorado spruce with light powdery Blue needles. After 10 years in the garden, a mature specimen will stand about 6 feet (2 m) tall and half to two-thirds as wide.

This cultivar originated as a special seedling selected in 2003 by Edwin Smits at his nursery in Volkel, The Netherlands.
