Picea pungens ‘Bastion’

Picea pungens 'Bastion' is a globose, dwarf selection of Colorado spruce with uniform, radiating branching and short, gray-blue needles. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 40 inches (1 m) tall and wide, an annual growth rate of 3 to 4 inches (7.5 - 10 cm).

This cultivar originated as a seedling selected in the early 1980s by P. Bakhuyzen & Sons Nursery, Boskoop, The Netherlands.
