Picea pungens ‘A.S.’

Picea pungens 'A.S.' is an irregular, flattened globose selection of Colorado spruce with layered branching holding gray-green foliage the pushes attractive golden-yellow in spring. After 10 years of growth a mature specimen will measure 3 feet (1 m) wide and 2 feet (60 cm) tall, an annual growth rate of 3 to 4 inches (7.5 - 10 cm)

This cultivar originated as seedling selected by Antoni Stępkowski of Bogacica, Poland. A.S. is simply Antoni's initials.
