Picea omorika ‘Wodan’

Picea omorika

Picea omorika × breweriana 'Wodan' is a dwarf, irregular upright hybrid spruce with asymmetrical, at times clumpy branching and long Blue-green needles. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 24 inches (60 cm) tall and 18 inches (45 cm) wide, an annual growth rate of 2 inches (5 cm).

This cultivar originated as a synthetic hybrid of Serbian and Brewer spruce made in the early 2000s at Kurt Wittboldt-Müsller Nursery in Verden, Germany. The plant is named for Wodan, the Germanic supreme god.
