Picea omorika × pungens

Picea omorika × pungens is a synthetic hybrid of Serbian (P. omorika) and Colorado spruce (P. pungens), including cultivars. These trees have the expected vigor expected of hybrids and have the narrow structure and downward sweeping branches known to P. omorika and the extremely long, prickly Blue needles characteristic of P. pungens.

A suggested scientific name for this hybrid is Picea × troemneri, although this has yet to be accepted by any known authority.

Hardy to USDA Zone 3 - cold hardiness limit between -40° and -30°F (-39.9° and -34.4°C).
