Picea glauca 'Metzger' / Metzger white spruce

Picea glauca 'Metzger' is a miniature globe with bluish silver foliage. Grows very similar to Picea abies 'Little Gem'.

This witch's broom was found by Charlie Hunter growing at the Metzger residence in Clinton, IA. in 1989. The broom and mother tree were moved to the Heartland Collection at the Bicklehaupt Arboretum, Clinton, IA. in the fall of 1989.
