Picea glauca ‘Dendrofarma Gold’

Picea glauca var. albertiana 'Dendrofarma Gold' is a slow-growing dense rounded compact dwarf selection of Alberta spruce which will eventually reaching 18 inches (0.5 m) in diameter in 15 years in the garden. In the spring it flushes tiny, soft golden-yellow new growth that later fades to lime-green later in the summer. It should be grown in full sun in moderately moist, acidic and rich soils.

'Dendrofarma Gold' is a Polish cultivar selected in 2000 by Michal KaЂuziЄscy and introduced by Dendrofarma nursery (now A&M KaЂuziЄscy Polish Roots nursery), Szadek, Poland, it originated from a witch's broom found on a specimen of 'Alberta Globe.'
