Picea engelmannii 'Lil Barb' / Lil Barb Engelmann spruce

Picea engelmannii 'Lil Barb' is an irregular-globose, dwarf selection of Engelmann spruce with asymmetrical branching, and very attractive sky-Blue needles. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 10 inches (25 cm) tall and 15 inches (35 cm) wide, an annual growth rate of 1 to 2 inches (2.5 - 5 cm).

This cultivar originated as a witch's broom found in the 1990s by Colorado's preeminent broom hunter, Jerry Morris.
