Picea abies 'Petra' is a dwarf globose selection of Norway spruce with somewhat loose branching and foliage that is pale green upon first flush in the spring, turning dark green by summer. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 28 inches (70 cm) tall and 16 inches (40 cm) wide, an annual growth rate of 2 to 3 inches (5 - 7.5 cm).

This cultivar is of unknown origin. It's first mention in the nursery trade was a 1990 listing by Libo Nursery, Baexem, The Netherlands.
