Picea abies ‘Mountain Dew’

Picea abies

Picea abies 'Mountain Dew' is a colorful, relatively slow growing, tree form of Norway spruce with symmetrical branches that hold neon-green needles that brighten a shade in winter. The color is similar to the well-known carbonated beverage, Mountain Dew. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 6 feet (1.8 m) tall and 3 feet (1 m) wide, an annual growth rate of 6 to 8 inches (15 - 20 cm).

This cultivar originated as a seedling selected in the early 2000s by Doug Wills of Sandy, Oregon, USA.
