Picea abies 'Lone Tree No. 1' is a slightly irregular, globose selection of Norway spruce with dense, clumpy branches holding short, medium-green needles. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 18 inches (45 cm) tall and wide, an annual growth rate of 1.5 inches (4.5 cm).

This cultivar originated as a witch's broom found by Chub Harper in Lone Tree Cemetery, Lone Tree, Iowa, USA. He described it as, "small size, low, and tight-nice."
