Picea abies

Picea abies 'Humphrey's Gem' is a diminutive, flattened globose selection of Norway spruce with tiny, bright-green needles on tight, congested branching. After 10 years, a mature specimen will measure 12 inches (30 cm) tall and 18 inches (45 cm) wide, an annual growth rate of around 1 inch (2.5 cm).

This cultivar has been seen available in the nursery trade since sometime in the mid-1980s and thought to have originated somewhere in the U.S.
