Picea abies ‘Coolwyn Globe’

Picea abies

Picea abies 'Coolwyn Globe' is a irregular globose selection of Norway spruce with uniform, somewhat open branching and species-typical dark-green glossy foliage. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 3 feet (1 m) tall and wide, an annual growth rate of around 3 to 4 inches (7.5 to 10 cm).

This cultivar originated at the hand of nurseryman Leo Koelewijn (Coolwyn) of Monbulk, Australia. The nature of mutation is not known at this time.
