Picea abies 'Blatný' is a miniature, globose selection of Norway spruce with dense, thin branches holding tiny, dark-green needles, giving the impression of a green tennis ball. After 10 years, a mature specimen will measure 10 inches (25 cm) tall and wide, an average annual growth rate of less than 1 inch (2.5 cm).
This cultivar originated as a witch's broom found in 1992 by Karel KalouС of Czech Republic.
