Picea abies ‘Arnold Special’

Picea abies 'Arnold Special' is an irregular, upright, conical selection of Norway spruce with tight symmetrical branching and congested dark-green foliage. After 10 years of growth, a mature plant will measure 10 to 12 inches (25 - 30 cm) tall and wide tapering to a very short leader.

This cultivar originated at the Arnold Arboretum, Boston, Massachusetts. The nature of the mutation is unknown at this time.
