Larix × pendula ‘Contorta’

Larix x pendula 'Contorta' is a robust bushy form of Weeping larch with dense branches and branchlets that twist and contort in all directions. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 4 feet (1.2 m) tall and wide, an annual growth rate of 4 to 6 inches (20 - 30 cm).

This cultivar originated as a spontaneous mutation found in 1931 at the Kórnik Arboretum, Poland.
