Juniperus × pfitzeriana ‘Sea Green’

Juniperus × pfitzeriana

Juniperus × pfitzeriana 'Sea Green' is a spreading, vase-shaped selection of Hybrid juniper (J. sabina × chinensis) with arching branches holding fine, bright green foliage - an attractive and interesting combination of adult and juvenile foliage forms. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 4 feet (1.3 m) tall and 6 feet (2 m) wide, an annual growth rate of 4 to 6 inches (10 - 15 cm).

The dense foliage makes 'Sea Green' quite amenable to pruning, making it suitable for creating a low hedge or sculpting whimsical living garden art.

This cultivar has been in the nursery trade since the mid 1990s. At this time, it is of unknown origin.
