Juniperus × pfitzeriana 'Daub's Frosted' / Daub's Frosted Juniper

Juniperus × pfitzeriana 'Daub's Frosted' is an outstanding border plant with brilliant yellow new growth with shaded/older growth a light lime green. The two tone color and frosted texture of this plant is an eye catcher. An added bonus is that it does not burn in full sun. When it is used as a border with other conifers it draws attention and contrast to green and gold conifers. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will attain a spread of 3 to 5 feet (1 - 1.6m). The pictured plant was purchased as a 3 gal. and at the time of the picture was in the bed for 3 years.

This cultivar originated as a color sport on a specimen of 'Mordigan Gold,' found in 1987 and introduced to the nursery trade by John Mitsch nursery, Aurora, Oregon, USA.
