Juniperus chinensis ‘Fairview’

Juniperus chinensis 'Fairview' is a narrowly conical selection of Chinese juniper with irregular, upright branching and light-green, mostly juvenile awl-shaped needles. One occasion, one may find adult, scale-like foliage on random branchlets. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 6 to 8 feet (2 - 2.5 m) tall and 4 feet (1.3 m) wide, an annual growth rate of 8 to 10 inches (20 - 25 cm).

This cultivar originated as a seedling selected in the 1930s by Evergreen Nurseries, Fairview Pennsylvania, USA.
