Cupressus sempervirens ‘Monshel’

Cupressus sempervirens 'Monshel' Tiny Tower® is a dwarf selection of Italian cypress that provides all of the elegance and impact of the classic tree of Italy at a fraction of the size - a great selection for smaller landscapes. Branching is extremely dense, and doesn't require shearing. Foliage is nice blue green in color. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 8 feet (2.5 m) tall and 12 inches (30 cm) wide, an average growth rate of 10 inches (25 cm).

This cultivar originated as a sport, found in 1990 by Doug Zylstra of Monrovia Nursery, Santa Barbara, California. In 2002, it was awarded Plant Patent #12,933.
