Cupressus nootkatensis 'Moon Shot' / Moon Shot Nootka cypress

Cupressus nootkatensis 'Moon Shot' is an extremely narrow upright selection of Nootka cypress with sparse to non-existent branching, and strictly weeping blue-green foliage that is held tightly against the trunk. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 6 feet (2 m) tall and 28 inches (70 cm) wide, an annual growth rate of 6 to 8 inches (15 - 20 cm).

This cultivar originated as a seedling selected in the late 1990s by Joe Stupka or Pulaski, Pennsylvania, USA.
