Cupressus nootkatensis ‘Lutea’

Cupressus nootkatensis 'Lutea' is a fast-growing. upright tree-form of Nootka cypress with weeping branches and pendulous tips that flush yellow in spring, later darkening to medium green. After 10 years a mature specimen will measure 10 feet (3 m) or more tall and two-thirds as wide, an annual growth rate that approaches 12 inches (30 cm).

This cultivar originated as a tree growing at Penbryn Castle, Wales, United Kingdom, first named and described by Webster in 1896.
