Cupressus nootkatensis ‘Jubilee’

Cupressus nootkatensis 'Jubilee' is a graceful, narrow upright tree form of Nootka cypress with pendulous branching that grows tightly against the trunk. Dark green foliage fully cloaks the tree in its entirety. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 12 to 18 feet (4 - 6 m) tall and 4.5 feet (1.5 m) wide, an annual growth rate 12 to 18 inches (20 - 45 cm).

[ Iseli Nursery, Boring, Oregon ] This distinctive selection of Weeping Alaskan Cedar grows into an extremely narrow form with deep, rich-green foliage. With age, the fast-growing trees develop fascinating character, almost personalities. Each has an upright, spire-like main trunk and gracefully draping branches that look like arms. The majestic tree produces secondary sub-leaders, forming a grove-like cluster of uprights. It appears to be slightly fuller than 'Strict Weeper'.

This cultivar originated as a seedling selected in the 1970s by Bock Nuseries, Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada. Similar cultivars include 'Green Arrow' and 'Strict Weeper'
