Cupressus nootkatensis 'Boyko's Sundown' / Boyko's Sundown Nootka cypress

Cupressus nootkatensis 'Boyko's Sundown' is an upright, weeping selection of Nootka cypress with a strong central leader, horizontal main branching and strictly weeping secondary branching. Foliage is mostly green with random splashes of golden variegation. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 12 to 15 feet (4 - 5 m) tall and 2-thirds as wide, an annual growth rate of 12 to 18 inches (20 - 45 cm).

This cultivar originated as a color sport found in the early 2000s by Jim Boyko of Boring, Oregon, USA.
