Chamaecyparis pisifera ‘True Blue’

Chamaecyparis pisifera 'True Blue' is a miniature, conical selection of sawara cypress with dense. compact branching and extra-long, powder-blue needles that present an exploding effect. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 2 feet (60 cm) tall and wide, an annual growth rate of 2 to 3 inches (5 - 7.5 cm).

This cultivar originated as a branch sport on a specimen of 'Boulevard', selected in the early 1990s by Andrews Nursery, Sydney, Australia.
