Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Squarrosa Lombarts' / Squarrosa Lombarts Sawara cypress

Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Squarrosa Lombarts' is an exceptionally attractive mounding dwarf form of Sawara cypress with billowing, cloud-like sprays of larger than typical, Blue-green juvenile foliage that will turn dark purplish-bronze in winter in colder climates. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 2.5 feet (75 cm) tall and wide, an average annual growth rate of 3 inches (7.5 cm).

This cultivar originated at Pierre Lombarts Nurseries, Zundert, The Netherlands.
