Chamaecyparis pisifera ‘Fuiri-tsukomo’

Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Fuiri-tsukomo' is a flat-topped cushion form of Sawara cypress with rather thick awl-like foliage, speckled with white variegation throughout the plant. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 12 inches (30 cm) tall and 1.5 feet (50 cm) wide, an annual growth rate of slightly more than 1 inch (2.5 cm).

This cultivar is a fairly recent introduction from Japan and is most likely a variegated sport found on Ch. pisifera 'Tsukomo.'
