Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Curly Tops' / Curly Tops Sawara cypress

Chamaecyparis pisifiera 'Curly Tops' is a dense, compact, globose selection of Sawara cypress with distinctive, bright, steely Blue, twisted foliage and branchlets. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 1.5 feet (50 cm) tall and wide, an annual growth rate of 1 to 2 inches (2.5 - 5 cm).

This cultivar originated as a branch mutation found 1989 on a specimen of Ch. pisifera 'Boulevard' by Yamina Rare Plants Nursery, Monbulk, Australia.
