Chamaecyparis obtusa ‘Willamette Elegance’

Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Willamette Elegance' is a strong growing, upright tree form of Hinoki cypress with sculpted horizontal branching holding rich green foliage. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 10 feet (3 m) tall and 6 feet (2 m) wide, an annual growth rate of 12 inches (30 cm) or more.

This cultivar originated as a seedling selection made in the late 1980s by John Mitsch Nursery, Aurora, Oregon and named for a namesake scenic river in Oregon.
