Chamaecyparis obtusa ‘Lemon Twist’

Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Lemon Twist' is an irregular, flattened-globose selection of Hinoki cypress with golden-yellow threadlike foliage that is often fasciated at the tips. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 4 feet (1.3 m) tall and wide, an annual growth rate of 4 to 5 inches (10 - 12.5 cm).

This cultivar originated as a mutation on Ch. obtusa 'Tsatsumi' found in 1996 by Buchholz & Buchholz Nursery, Gaston, Oregon.
