Chamaecyparis obtusa ‘Lacy’

Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Lacy' is a broadly pyramidal, upright selection of Hinoki cypress with dense branching, and finely cut, lacy, light-green foliage. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 6 feet (2 m) tall and two-thirds as wide, an annual growth rate of 6 to 8 inches (15 - 20 cm).

This cultivar is of unknown origin. There is also some disagreement in the nursery trade as to whether 'Lacy' or 'Lacey' is the correct cultivar name.
