Chamaecyparis obtusa ‘Cream Tart’

Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Cream Tart' is a miniature, flattened globose selection of Hinoki cypress is dense branching holding dark green foliage, liberally splashed with creamy variegation. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 4 inches (10 cm) tall and 12 inches (30 cm) wide, an annual growth rate of around a half inch (1 cm).

This cultivar originated as a variegated branch sport found on a specimen of C. obtusa 'Chabo yadori', by Larry Stanley of Stanley & Sons Nursery, Boring, Oregon.
