Chamaecyparis lawsoniana ‘Wallis Gold’

Chamaecyparis lawsoniana 'Wallis Gold' is a intermediate-growing, broadly pyramidal selection of Lawson cypress with bright yellow-green foliage held in soft feathery sprays. Annual rate of growth is from 4 to 6 inches (10 - 15 cm), resulting in a mature plant plant 4 to 5 feet (1 - 1.5 m) tall and two thirds as wide after 10 years in the garden.

This cultivar originated as a seedling selected in 1972 by Wallis Nursery, Dunedin, New Zealand and introduced to the nursery trade by Duncan & Davies Nursery.
