Chamaecyparis lawsoniana ‘Stardust’

Chamaecyparis lawsoniana 'Stardust' is a popularly grown, vigorous, large-growing, conical selection of Lawson cypress with dense feathery branchlets and bright, rich-yellow, bronze-tipped foliage. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 15 feet (5 m) tall and two-thirds as wide, an annual growth rate of 12 to 18 inches (30 - 45 cm). It is known for good winter hardiness.

This cultivar originated as a seedling selected around 1900 by D. Stewart and Son Nursery, Bournemouth, United Kingdom.
