Chamaecyparis lawsoniana ‘Oregon Blue’

Chamaecyparis lawsoniana 'Oregon Blue' is a large, fast-growing growing tree form of Lawson Cypress with a main leader. Foliage is an outstanding powder Blue with each spray tipping down at the ends just like the leader. Expected growth after 10 years is around 15 ft. tall by 4 ft. wide.

This fine cultivar originated at the nursery of Ivan Arneson of Canby, Oregon in 1978. It should be noted that in areas where the fungal disease caused by Phytophthera lateralis is prevalent, the gardener should seek out nursery stock grafted onto disease-resistant (DR) understock.
