Chamaecyparis lawsoniana ‘Minima Aurea’

Chamaecyparis lawsoniana 'Minima Aurea' is a very popular dwarf selection of Lawson cypress with dense, stunning, golden-yellow foliage ascending in flat sprays. It presents best color when grown in a sunny location. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 20 to 32 inches (50 - 80 cm) tall and 14 to 20 inches (35 - 50 cm) wide, suggesting an annual rate of growth of 2 to 3 inches (5 - 7.5 cm).

This cultivar originated as a seedling selected in 1929 by W. H. Rogers at Red Lodge Nursery, Eastleigh Great Britain.
