Chamaecyparis lawsoniana 'Hogger's Gold' / Hogger's Gold Lawson cypress

Chamaecyparis lawsoniana 'Hogger's Gold' is a large-growing selection of Lawson cypress with pleasing golden-yellow foliage. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 10 to 12 feet (3 - 4 m) tall, an annual growth rate approaching 12 inches (30 cm).

This cultivar originated as a seedling selected in the early 1980s by Hogger's Nursery, East Grinstead, United Kingdom. It is sometimes seen listed as Ch. lawsoniana 'Hoggeri,' which was probably an original (provisional) name that was changed because it was named after 1959.
