Chamaecyparis lawsoniana ‘Golden Showers’

Chamaecyparis lawsoniana 'Golden Showers' is a broadly upright selection of Lawson cypress with dense branching and nodding branch tips holding yellow variegated, threadlike foliage. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 6 feet (2 m) tall and 4.5 feet (1.5 m) wide, an annual growth rate of 6 to 8 inches (15 - 20 cm).

This cultivar originated in 1976, as a seedling selected by John Mitsch Nursery, Aurora, Oregon, USA.
